TS govt told to keep Pratyusha aid amount in Fixed Deposit

Hyderabad: The PIL bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice SV Bhatt directed the state of Telangana to ensure that the amount released by the government for the rehabilitation of Pratyusha, the teenaged girl rescued from her father and step-mother be kept in a fixed deposit.

Special Government Pleader Sharat Kumar informed the court that the cheque was ready and also that the District Collector was monitoring her progress. The bench pointedly wondered about the rentals from the flat that was in the name of the deceased mother of Pratyusha.
