He further added that the general public coming to the venue on their vehicles were requested to come via Fateh Darwaza or Banjara Darwaza only and park their vehicles at HUDA Park or Seven Tombs respectively. A free bus had been provided to facilitate the public, he added.

At Secunderabad Parade Grounds, the general traffic would be diverted at Tivoli Junction towards Brooke Bond and NCC Junction and traffic coming from Tivoli towards Plaza would be restricted from 8 am to 9 am citing the Independence Day celebrations, the commissioner added.

However, traffic advisory was given by the city traffic police during the Independence Day celebrations at Raj Bhavan in Somajiguda. A reception is being hosted by Governor ESL Nrasimhan at Raj Bhavan on August 15, for which a large number of dignitaries and guests are expected to attend, which would create traffic hindrance to the general public, said Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Jitender.
