Hyderabad/Vijayawada: Telugu Desam party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday asked T-TDP leaders to ‘bury the hatchet ‘ and strive for the victory of TDP- BJP combine in the ensuing by election to Warangal Parliamentary constituency.

Telangana TDP president L Ramana, party leaders Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, Errabelli Dayakar Rao and others speaking to media persons in Vijayawada on Tuesday.Naidu held a meeting with Telangana TDP leaders consisting of party President L Ramana, working president A Revanth Reddy , TDLP leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao and other leaders at his camp office in the city. According to sources Naidu minced no words in expressing his displeasure over the manner in which both the leaders had a wordy duel at the party meeting recently. It may be mentioned here that while Dayakar called Revanth an item number, Revanth retorted by calling Dayakar a covert.

Naidu who was upset with this incident sought an explanation from them for their behaviour and warned them that such indiscipline in the party would not be tolerated. He said he had given a free hand to TTDP leaders as he expects good results and not complaints from the party leaders.

Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, TTDP president Ramana said they have discussed the party activities in the State with the party national president. The party chief had left the decision of selection of candidate for the Warangal Lok Sabha seat to the party unit. The TDP will consult the alliance partner, Bharatiya Janata Party, on the selection of candidate in one or two days. He exuded confidence that the TDP-BJP combine will fare well in the by-elections, as the ruling TRS had failed on all fronts.
