Fire dept on toes to attend emergencies

The Telangana State Disaster Response and Fire Services department onTuesday informed that all the fire stations in the State were put on high alert in connection with Diwali. Additional Director (SDR and FS) C Lakshmi Prasad, said the 94 fire stations in the State were put on high alert to respond to any fire and emergency calls in view of Diwali festivities on Wednesday.

The officer said that the off duty staff from the Fire Service and Defence Training Institute was also deployed at all the fire stations of Hyderabad to assist during emergency. Citizens are requested to dial 100 or contact the fire services on 9949991101 or 040–23442942 to inform about any untoward incidents.
