Mahabubnagar: Mahabubnagar district collector Dr T K Sridevi urged the managements of private B Ed and D Ed college principals and their associates to play a vital role in enhancing quality education in the district.

As part of an orientation training meet, the district collector urged the principals of the various B Ed and D Ed colleges to actively adopt smaller villages and extend a helping hand as part of their social responsibility to improve quality of education in the district.

Addressing the one-day orientation progarmme for the principals of private colleges in the district on Wednesday at Rajiv Vidya Mission (RVM), the collector said, “Education is the only weapon which will help bring a change in the society.” She further voiced that it was everyone’s responsibility to build a strong and wise society by enhancing the quality of education in the district.

She asked the college managements to extend a helping hand by distributing books and other requirements for the poor children and help improve quality education in the

district.

Officials who took part in the meeting included Govindarajulu, P O, RVM and Laxmi Bai, District Education Officer (DEO) among others.
