In a tragic incident, a newly married software engineer working in Australia drowned in Nagarjuna Sagar while taking a dip in the waters on the occasion of Karthika Paurnami on Wednesday.

Prasanth had come to India from Australia a week ago for his wedding and he got married two days ago. On the occasion of Karthika Paurnami, Prasanath along with his family went to take a dip in the waters.
According to reports, his uncle Mahesh drowned in the waters and Prasanth also went into the waters in search of him. He is said to have been washed away in the waters. Both hailed from Suryapet in Nalgonda district.
One body has been recovered and a search is on for another.
The family of Prashanth is plunged into deep grief with his sudden demise.
