Chaos erupted among commuters at Chakripuram in Cherlapally when a drunk cab driver allegedly hit three bikes injuring four persons including a woman on Wednesday evening.
The cab driver identified as Raju hails from Mahbubnagar district lost control over his vehicle due to his inebriated condition and hit the vehicles.
As the cab hit the vehicles in front of the Cherlapally petrol pump, a motorbike got stuck under and was dragged for some distance resulting in the car catching fire. When the fire was doused down, the bike and the car's engine were completely damaged. Kushaiguda SI Jagan Reddy said that the condition of the injured is stable and the cab driver has been arrested.
