Bodhan: The Nizam Deccan Sugars Limited (NDSL) workers on Friday staged a protest in front of the factory at Bodhan and detained the NDSL General Manager against the government’s decision to divert the cane to private factories. They protesting employees said that they were losing livelihood due to the decision.

NDSL factory workers leader Kumara Swamy said that the TRS government promised the NDSL workers and farmers that they would open the NDSL factory after the government takes the responsibilities. But the TRS government was deceiving them, he alleged.

Swamy demanded that the State government should provide alternative arrangements and livelihood to them as their families were suffering with no salaries since few months. They detained the NDSL GM and demanded payment of their pending salaries.
