The Telangana state Government has issued orders to increase age limit for recruitment of the police personnel.

The Government also increased the mess charges for the police who are on bandobast duty. The police on bandobast duty under the city limits would get Rs 200, while those in districts would get Rs 150.
According to reports, the age limit for police jobs under general category has been upped from 22 years to 25 years, 27 years to 30 years under reserved categories of SC, ST and BC. For SI jobs the age is upped by three years for general categories from 25 years to 28 years and for general categories it is relaxed from 30 years to 33 years
