Karimnagar: Senior congress leader and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar criticised that the State government has washed off its hands by announcing filling up of only 400 posts under Group-II category.

Speaking to the reporters here on Thursday, Prabhakar said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has failed to fulfil his promise of filling up one lakh vacant posts. The notification for filling up 400 vacant posts was only for eyewash, he added.

Instead of laying foundation stones for various schemes launched by the previous Congress government, the present TRS government hasn’t taken up single new welfare scheme in 2015. While the entire State was reeling under severe drought, the government failed to conduct a review meeting on drought and advise alternative farming methods to farmers, he pointed out.

Both public representatives and government officials were busy in blaming each other and they were not in a position to pay attention to the problems of the people, he said and asked the MLA and Minister to pay attention on the district in the new year at least.
