Nalgonda: Muslim community is taking out a protest rally on Monday in the town against Hindu Mahasabha leader Kamlesh Tiwari over his remarks against Prophet Muhammad. The rally would start at 10.30 am from Masjid-e-Ghadi in old city and will reach the District Collectorate, passing through Prakasam Bazar and Clock Tower.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Mufti Syed Siddiq Ahmed of Arabic School, Nalgonda, said they would submit a memorandum to the District Collector. Strongly condemning the objectionable comments made by Kamlesh Tiwari, Ahmed said that such comments would hurt the sentiments of Muslims in the country.

Stating that people of all religions have equal rights in the secular country, he demanded stern action against Tiwari for making derogatory comments against the Prophet. He urged Muslims and intellectuals to participate in the rally in a large number and make it a grand success. Muslim elders Moulana Abdul Rahman, Moulana Akbar Khan and Moulana Ismail Shareed were also present on the occasion.
