Bela (Adilabad): Unable to clear his mounting debts, a tenant farmer, Ramdas (55), committed suicide by consuming pesticide in Masala village of Bela mandal in the district on Wednesday.
Going into details, the deceased Ramdas used to cultivate soya and cotton crops on his 3.5 acres of land and on another 10 acres, which he took on tenancy.
As the rainfall this season was very less, all his crops withered away and he was forced to take loans. Unable to clear the debts, Ramdas became highly depressed and took the extreme step.
