Start work of double bkh houses by march
Presiding over the district-level meeting on the double bedroom houses scheme, the Minister discussed various aspects relating to the scheme on Wednesday. He directed the officials to prepare the proposals for the construction of double bedroom houses constituency-wise by January 19.

Once the layouts are completed in the selected towns, mandals and villages, works should be taken up by March, he said. The officials should also prepare the proposals for construction of the houses on the assigned lands, if they remained unused, he added.
The Minister also asked the officials to examine the feasibility for the construction of double bedrooms on the side of the roads which were near the mandal headquarters to the villages.
The Minister insisted that 50 per cent of the 2BHK houses would be allocated to the SCs and STs in the villages. Keeping in mind the availability of land, the double bedroom houses would constructed in the mode of G+1 and G+2, he added.
Jagadish Reddy has also elicited the suggestions and opinions of the MLAs on double bedroom houses. He also examined the layout plans, which were prepared by the architects.
District Collector P Satyanarayana Reddy, Joint Collector Dr N Satyanarayana, MLAs Vemula Veeresham, Pilla Shekhar Reddy, K Prabhakar Reddy and Ravindra Kumar Naik were also present.
