Rahul Gandhi at HCU to console Rohith Vemula's friends

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi arrived at Hyderabad university campus following the suicide of Dalit scholar Rohith Vemula.

Rahul Gandhi is in Hyderabad to meet the family of the Dalit scholar who ended his life in his hostel room on the varsity campus on January 17. His suicide sparked protests in the campus and students from other universities have extended their solidarity.

He interacted with students over the issue and also consoled the family members of Rohith.

Several Congress leaders including PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy and Shabbir Ali accompanied Rahul Gandhi during his visit to the campus.
