Nalgonda: Chief Secretary to the State government Rajiv Sharma directed the officials concerned to speed up the works related to the development of Yadagirigutta Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple (Yadadri).

The Chief Secretary visited the Yadadri temple on Saturday, performed special poojas and offered prayers. Earlier, the temple priests welcomed the Chief Secretary with poornakumbha on his arrival at the temple.

One of the temple architects, Ananda Sai explained to him about the temple development plan and design. The Chief Secretary also went around the areas surrounding the hill shrine and inspected the works going on at the second ghat road.

Later, he inaugurated the Haritha Haram stall on hill shrine and distributed the saplings of Tulasi to devotees.

He also conducted a review meeting with the officials at the Andal Nilayam. Addressing the officials, Rajiv Sharma insisted on the removal of existing constructions and said that new constructions should be taken up without causing any inconvenience to the devotees.

The District Collector appraised the Chief Secretary about the measures that were taken for the acquisition of 2,000 acres of land and the works relating to the construction of mini-tank bund down the hill shrine.

Later, the Chief Secretary visited the proposed area for the by-pass road and discussed with officials about the road plan.
