Shankaramma gets CMO call
Chief Minister’s Office responded on Saturday to the report appeared in these columns on Friday enquiring about health of former TRS women’s wing leader Thota Shankaramma alias Hotel Shankaramma of Utkoor village in Adilabad district.

Shankaramma, a livewire activist who gave her energy and property to the TRS taking part in the separate state agitation, wanted to meet Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao once. But she was confined to bed as she suffered a paralytic attack. According to Shankaramma’s son Satish, the CMO official assured steps to get her better medical treatment from a good hospital in Hyderabad.
He said the official, quoting the CM, told her that the CM would meet her during his visit to the district shortly. The phone call from the CMO boosted her morale. Satish avers that the meeting with the CM will improve his mother’s energy levels and health condition.
Shankaramma’s family is also awaiting succour from the Chief Minister. The family conveys gratitude to the CM for the CMO gesture and The Hans India for taking her pathetic condition to the Chief Minister’s notice.
