New Delhi: No tsunami warning has been issued to India by the Tsunami Warning Centre located at Hyderabad so far, following the tsunami warning issued by Indonesian government on Wednesday. Indonesia has issued a tsunami warning after a huge 8.1 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast.

Millions of people in Indonesia now fear a possible hit of tsunami after the enormous quake. The powerful and shallow earthquake struck off the west coast of the Indonesian island of Sumatra, the US Geological Survey said. The epicentre of the quake was 502 miles southwest of Padang and it was six miles deep. According to the reports, there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties and the tsunami direction was more towards Australia.
