Congress MLA Ramreddy Venkatreddy cremation to be held today

Senior Congress leader Ramreddy Venkatreddy breathed his last on Friday at KIMS Hospital following a prolonged illness. YSR Congress Party Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday consoled the family of Ramreddy Venkatreddy.

The Congress MLA who was elected to the assembly from Palair, served as a Minister in YS Rajasekhar Reddy, K Rosaiah and Kiran Kumar Reddy's Cabinets. After being hospitalized for treatment of respiratory ailments, Ramreddy Venkatreddy's condition deteriorated and breathed his last on Friday afternoon.

The mortal remains of Ramreddy Venkatreddy reached Khammam and the cremation will take place on Saturday. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directed that the funeral be performed with state honours. YSRC leader Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy along with MLA Payam Venkateswarlu paid their respects to the Congress leader at his residence in Khammam district.

Congress leader Batti Vikramarka stated that Ramreddy Venkatreddy has left a void for the people of Khammam.
