Nizamabad: The officials are making elaborate arrangements at all the shaivite temples in Nizamabad district anticipating heavy turnout of devotees for Maha Sivaratri festival. There are more than ten shaivite temples in the district with Neelakanteshwaraalayam, Shambunigudi, Nagareshwaralayam, Someshwaralayam, Siddula Guttta and Lonka Rameshwaralayam being prominent.

The endowments department officials, staff of various temples, police and other officials are making necessary arrangements — setting up queue lines, installing shade nets, providing drinking water facility, arranging parking lots, security and others — at the temples.


City Police Inspector Saidaiaha on Saturday visited the Neelakanteshwara temple, Shambunigudi and Nagareshwaraalayam in Nizamabad city and reviewed the security arrangement being made for Maha Sivaratri.

Saidaiaha spoke with Ganesh Gupta, the President of Shambunigudi Trust Board, and other members and enquired about the arrangements being made for the festival. Endowments officials and temple staff of Neelakanteshwaraalayam reviewed the arrangements. Armoor town officials are also making arrangements for the festival at Siddula Gutta Shivalayam.
