Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday met the Governor ESL Narasimhan and discussed his plans to extend the ongoing budget session of the Assembly for two more days to debate exclusively about the irrigation sector.

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday met the Governor ESL Narasimhan and discussed his plans to extend the ongoing budget session of the Assembly for two more days to debate exclusively about the irrigation sector. As per the schedule, the session would conclude on March 29.

The Chief Minister called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan and was discussed with the latter for more than 30 minutes. The Chief Minister is said to have readied a power point presentation on requirement for redesigning and re-engineering the pending irrigation projects in the State and present it to the members in Assembly.

The government is also planning to allocate a whopping amount of Rs 25,000 crore in the 2016-17 budget for the irrigation sector. Sources said that the CM, in his meeting with the Governor, also discussed about the new IT policy that is to be unveiled on April 4.
