In an incident that will restore the faith in humanity, the Hyderabad women traffic police helped a woman deliver baby on the footpath.
The incident occurred at an open footpath in Narayanaguda on Tuesday.
A woman, who was walking on the road, got labour pains and fell on the foot path. As the pains were severe, the passersby could not take her to the hospital. On seeing her, some women traffic police came to her rescue.
They immediately asked nearby residents for some sarees and formed a mini tent on the footpath. While some of them held the pregnant woman and helped her deliver the baby.
Later, the woman and her baby were rushed to a nearby hospital. Both the baby and her mother are in good condition.
