With the light showers on Saturday, the Indian Meteorological Department had lifted the heat wave warning over Telangana state. However, in a matter of a day, the decision has changed and the IMD on Sunday reported that heatwave conditions are expected to prevail in few regions of the districts of Karimnagar, Adilabad, Khammam, Medak, Mahbubnagar, Ranga Reddy, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, and Hyderabad till Monday.

The maximum temperatures recorded in most parts of Telangana state on Sunday was in between 42ºC-44ºC while the lowest was 40 degree Celsius at Hakimpet.

With the Saturday rains, the minimum temperature recorded was one degree less than normal at 25ºC in Hyderabad which followed on Sunday due to slight rainfall accompanied with winds in Hyderabad and Cyberabad areas.
