
The Home Minister, who also holds Labour portfolio, chaired May Day celebrations attended by many dignitaries
Hyderabad: The Telangana government celebrated International Labour Day also known as May Day across the State in a grand manner on Sunday. While celebrations were conducted in all districts, various trade unions took out rallies in support of the working class in several places. To mark the occasion, the State government conducted International Workers Day at Ravindra Bharathi here on Sunday morning.
Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy who also holds Labour portfolio, chaired the celebrations attended by Council Chairman Swamy Goud, MLC Ramulu Naik, Singareni CMD Sridhar and other officials. Speaking on the occasion, the Labour Minister said that welfare of the labourers was of paramount priority. “Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is making persistent efforts for workers’ welfare and trying to root out corruption. Chandrashekar Rao is a mass leader with guts and vision whom the nation feels proud of,” Reddy remarked.
“Our government is all set to provide good governance sans corruption or irregularities,” he maintained.
