Telangana Government releases 825 cr for Krishna Pushkarams
The State government has released Rs 825 crore for the conduct of Krishna Pushkarams in Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda districts, Housing, Law and Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy announced here on Tuesday.

Accompanied by Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy, MP Jithender Reddy, MLA Srinivas Goud, State Planning Commission Deputy Chairman V Prashanth Reddy and others, the Minister toured Palamur on Tuesday and inspected works related to Pushkaram arrangements from Jurala guest house.
The Minister said Governor ESL Narasimhan and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao were likely to take a holy dip at Alampur pushkaram ghat in Mahbubnagar district when the festivities begin. A total of Rs 100 crore would be spent for Alampur temple development, he added.
The team also participated in some developmental works and laid the foundation stones for Pushkaram ghats at some places in the district. After visiting the famous Jogulamba temple in Alampur, the Minister announced release of Rs 25 crore for its development.
“The previous governments failed to give priority to Krishna Pushkaram but now the TRS government has increased the number of Pushkaram ghats to 51 from only 17,” he said.
The festivities would be held for 12 days in a grand manner, the Minister stated. He also said that Rs 85 crore would be spent for laying a four-way lane connecting Alampur and Kurnool crossroad and Rs 3 crore for Bala Brahmeshwara temple development.
