Collectors meet to discuss new districts
Speeding up the process for creation of 14 to 15 new districts, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has convened a two-day workshop for the District Collectors from Tuesday.
​Hyderabad: Speeding up the process for creation of 14 to 15 new districts, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has convened a two-day workshop for the District Collectors from Tuesday.
The officials have been asked to come with the reports prepared by the district administration pertaining to carving out of new districts from the existing 10 districts. The meeting would also discuss in detail the hurdles like the division of employees between the districts, revision of the existing zonal system and balanced distribution of land and natural resources.
The demand for new districts from political parties and social organizations and opposition to the creation of new districts from other organizations would also be discussed.
Sources said that every District Collector has been asked to make a power point presentation on the status of the existing district in terms of population, government lands and revenue generation.
