A K Khan, Chairman and Vice President, Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutional Society, made a surprise visit to four residential schools in Hyderabad on Thursday.

​Hyderabad: A K Khan, Chairman and Vice President, Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutional Society, made a surprise visit to four residential schools in Hyderabad on Thursday.

He was accompanied by Secretary B Shafiullah and project managers of the scheme. Khan has reviewed the preparedness of the new schools in rented buildings, which are to be started from June 14. He also interacted with the parents, students and staff members of TMREIS.

The schools which were visited by officials are located in Asifnagar (Boys), Bahadurpura (Girls), Bahadurpura (Boys) and Charminar (Girls). They have also reviewed the progress of building repairs, renovation works, student admissions and arrangements for boarding.

Earlier during the day, few prominent NGOs were given updates on the government preparedness in starting the 71 schools across the State on June 14. During the review meeting attended by Secretary of Minority Welfare Department, Syed Omer Jaleel, A K Khan emphasised that admissions should be completed before the opening of schools.
