Housewife kills daughter ends life

Vikarabad: A housewife, Lakshmi alias Manjula, of Rallachittampalli village under Dharur mandal in Ranga Reddy district on Monday afternoon allegedly throttled her eight-month-old daughter and committed suicide by hanging. Family problems were stated to the motive. The incident sent shock waves in the villagers.

Lakshmi and Raju had a love marriage in 2007. Raju and his parents were allegedly harassing Lakshmi. She had lodged a police complaint in 2009. Her husband promised to reform and not harass her, according to Circle Inspector Ranga and sub-insepctor Samshuddin.
