To mark the beginning of the second phase of Haritha Haram in the State capital on Friday, Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma planted a sapling at the entrance of the Telangana State Secretariat.
Hyderabad: To mark the beginning of the second phase of Haritha Haram in the State capital on Friday, Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma planted a sapling at the entrance of the Telangana State Secretariat.
Amid chanting of Vedic hymns by the pundits, Sharma planted sapling and sprayed water on it. The State government kick-started the two-week plantation programme aiming to plant 46 crore saplings, this year alone.
MG Gopal, Special Chief Secretary to department of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Pradeep Chandra, Special Secretary to Revenue department and other officials were also present.
