The training programme jointly organised by HMTV and Kaushalya School of Life Skills on July 9 and 10 inspired several aspiring politicians, lawyers, social workers and businessmen. 

Hyderabad: Participants of Vaktha, a two-day training session on public speaking described their experience as a ‘turning point’ in their lives. They described the tips provided by experts as significant in improving themselves.

The training programme jointly organised by HMTV and Kaushalya School of Life Skills on July 9 and 10 inspired several aspiring politicians, lawyers, social workers and businessmen.

Some of participants of the 43rd batch described this as a complete transformation in their attitude and body language within two days of training and asserted to maintain poise like an ‘orator’.

While expressing satisfaction at the end of training, they termed this training as a life-time experience. With a burning desire to turn in to good orators, they expressed eagerness to grab the mike.

Director (Training), Kapil Group and the lead faculty of the program D Bal Reddy said that public speaking was a skill which could only be honed through regular practice. He gave important tips and techniques related to public speaking.

S Anand Parjanya, faculty on body language trained participants on maintaining their posture while delivering a speech and communicating at a public place. He explained as to how the orator should communicate the subject with the coordinating actions of hands.

K Srikanth, another faculty explained important techniques of voice modulation, since a good speaker maintains a high tone while delivering the speech. He made students practice some of the important tips and showed how voice culture and modulation can make a person an effective public speaker.

While providing feedback, P V Krishnama Chary, a lawyer from Bhadrachalam confessed that the programme brought a huge change in his attitude and body language.

He felt that attending Vaktha was his biggest decision in life as it proved to be turning point. Chary said he had already spoken on several occasions as a chief guest in programmes and delivered lectures. He felt much improved after attending the programme.

Ponnam Ravi, an aspiring politician said that he lost his stage-fear after attending the training session. K Bhushan Kumar, another lawyer regretted delaying the decision to attend the programme.
