New Delhi: Governor E S L Narasimhan here on Monday categorically denied any role of him in the ongoing tussle over either bifurcation of the High Court or inter-State water disputes.

The Governor was in Delhi to submit a report to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday afternoon. Earlier, he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi too, but refused to disclose the details.

Asked whether he would intervene in the dispute between the two States, he said he would not. He was not even going to raise the issue of bifurcation of the High Court during his meeting with the Union Law Minister, he said.

Similarly, inter-State water disputes too were not his cup of tea, he said. However, on Krishna Pushkaralu, the Governor hoped all works would be completed within the stipulated time. He said both the Telugu States would witness good rains and farmers would benefit.
