Harish assures help to farmers
The efforts made by the Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Thursday to convince farmers and allay their apprehensions in regard to giving up land for Mallannasagar project paid dividends.
Medak: The efforts made by the Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Thursday to convince farmers and allay their apprehensions in regard to giving up land for Mallannasagar project paid dividends.
Farmers from Pallepahad and Mallannasagar on Thursday voluntarily handed over their land documents to the Minister. The farmers also gave letters of consent.
Speaking to the farmers, Harish said some political parties were trying to misguide farmers by creating a sort of fear psychosis and were projecting the issue in a negative manner. He said the State government would always be in favour of them.
“The State Government will never neglect farmers and take all the necessary measures to deliver justice to those who give up their lands. The government will compensate well and will ensure that they do not suffer any loss,” the Irrigation Minister added.
