Hyderabad: The Telangana government got partial relief from the division bench of the High Court which suspended the order of single judge who had quashed GO MS No. 123. With this interim order of the division bench, the GO 123 is revived albeit with a condition that all transactions under the GO would be subject to the final outcome of the ongoing writ appeal.

A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice U Durga Prasad Rao passed this interim order on Tuesday after taking on record the Telangana Advocate-General K Ramakrishna Reddy's assurance that the Government would come out with a fresh GO on providing all entitlements listed in the Second Schedule of the 2013 Land Acquisition Act.

The bench imposed the condition that the State government can undertake registration of lands procured under GO MS No. 123 only after it brings out the fresh GO and after the bench is satisfied that the GO incorporated all the entitlements.

The counsel for the National Investment Manufacturing Zone project said that it affected agricultural labourers and artisans. K S Murthy along with senior counsels L Ravichander, Vedula Venkataramana and A Satyaprasad opposed the state government's plea for interim order stating that there was no hurry and let the larger issues relating to the case be adjudicated upon.
