Khammam: Even after death, a person who immersed in people’s service lives on, said Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao said, speaking at the memorial meeting of former Minister Koneru Nageswara Rao, who died on August 5, at Kothagudem on Wednesday.

“He (Koneru) lived upright while serving the people to his capacity. He won the hearts of people in the district. His death left people in Kothagudem bereft,” Tummala said, paying floral tributes to the departed leader.

Prominent among others who attended the meeting was Telugu Desam national general secretary Nara Lokesh and Telangana Telugu Desam chief A Revanth Reddy, Sathupally MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and former MP Nama Nageswara Rao.

The other leaders who attended the meeting recalled their association with Koneru Nageswara Rao.

Kothagudem MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao, Zilla Parishad chairperson G Kavitha, Aswaraopet MLA Thati Venkateswarlu and DCCB Chairman Muvva Vijay Babu were among others who paid tributes to Koneru.
