A six-member team from the United Nations Women’s Wing on Wednesday visited Bharosa Centre and SHE Teams office in Hyderabad to learn and study the initiatives taken up by the city police for the safety of women.

Hyderabad: A six-member team from the United Nations Women’s Wing on Wednesday visited Bharosa Centre and SHE Teams office in Hyderabad to learn and study the initiatives taken up by the city police for the safety of women.

Nora Allgaier from the UN Women’s Wing, Ovais Sarmad from International Organization for Migration and four other delegates from different countries are in the team.

Additional Commissioner (Crimes & SIT) Swati Lakra gave a presentation about the women-friendly initiatives taken up by the city police, like SHE Teams, Hawk Eye mobile app, interactive WhatsApp number and Bharosa Centre.

The team studied working of the Bharosa Centre that included family counselling, video conferencing, medical, legal counselling, child counselling and SHE Teams office. Principal Secretary (Home) Rajiv Trivedi and others were present during the visit.
