​Hyderabad: Demanding the Centre to withdraw the Road Safety Bill and not to amend the Motor Vehicle Act, the TSRTC JAC has decided to go on strike on September 2.

The RTC JAC leaders demanded the Centre withdraw the Road Safety Bill stating that Bill would be detrimental to the public transport systems. The JAC has the trade unions like TMU, AITUC, NMU, CITU, BKU, INTUC and TNTUC. Several trade unions in the country have given a call for a nationwide strike on September 2 against the proposed Act by the Centre.

The unions in RTC met on August 11 and decided to support the strike. They gave strike notice to the management on August 16 in this regard. The JAC leaders said no employee would be attend the office and no bus would come out on September 2.
