Hyderabad: Stage is all set for the inauguration of 21 new districts on Tuesday. The Telangana state government has made elaborate arrangements for the smooth functioning of the administration in all the new districts, revenue divisions and mandals from day one.

The proposed police commssionerates in Khammam, Ramagundam, Siddipet and Nizamabad would also come into force with immediate effect.

According to official sources, pundits have advised Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to inaugurate the new districts during Karkataka Lagnam and fixed 11.13 am on Tuesday as the Muhurtam for the inauguration.

All necessary arrangements have been made in Siddipet where the Chief Minister would unveil the new districts. Heavy bandobust has been made in the district and Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao is supervising the arrangements for the visit of Chief Minister.

A rally will be taken out from the District Collectorate office to old bus stand in Siddipet by TRS activists as part of celebrations to welcome the formation of the new district.

Later, the Chief Minister will visit Mulugu mandal and inaugurate police station, office of Tehsildar and government hospital building.

While the Chief Minister would inaugurate the District Collectorate office in Siddipet, Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly S Madhusudhana Chary, Chairman of the State Legislative Council Swamy Goud and ministers will simultaneously inaugurate offices of Collectorates in new districts.

This would be followed by the new Collectors taking charge. The government has already finalised the names of all the new District Collectors and Superintendents of Police. Nearly 20,000 employees working in different departments are posted in the new districts by issuing ‘order to serve’.

The officials of the key departments -- Police, Revenue, Health, Education and Panchayat Raj and Rural Development -- have already been asked to report to their duties in the new districts and oversee the arrangements for the district formation day celebrations. A one-day orientation programme will be held for all these employees.

Flag hoisting, distribution of sweets, release of multi-colour balloons, cultural programmes and public meetings are being organsied as part of the celebrations.

Logistic support, vehicle provision and outsourcing staff would be provided to each district depending on the requirement.
