Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday said that there would be no dearth of funds for the ongoing flagship programme – Mission Bhagiratha as the government had made necessary arrangements to pool the required money from different sources.

At a review meeting with officials concerned here, the Chief Minister said that his government already entered into agreements with financial institutions to get Rs 22,000 crore as loan and the banks were showing interest to extend another Rs 8,000 crore for the scheme.

He said that the government would allocate funds for the scheme in the budget, if required. KCR accepted the proposal to extend incentives to the contractors who completed the works in a scheduled timeframe.

As the RWS (Rural Water Supply) Department was loaded with heavy work after the launch of Mission Bhagiratha, the Chief Minister said that the entire Department would be reorganised and strengthened in the future. Mmission Vice-Chairman V Prashant Reddy and others were present in the meeting.
