Hyderabad: The temple town of Yadadri is all set for a magical makeover, with state-of-the-art technology to regulate darshan and sevas, a host of pilgrim facilities, salubrious gardens, a marriage hall and other attractions being part of the grand plans unveiled by the Telangana government on Tuesday.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in a review meeting on Yadadri temple development has instructed officials to chalk out a master-plan to create swanky facilities and amenities for pilgrims and implement it immediately.

  • Plan to provide slew of facilities to devotees
  • Flower garden to come up on 25 acres near the temple
  • Donors keen to take up construction of cottages

The Chief Minister suggested that the officials could utilize 75 acres of land acquired for important and emergency services at the main temple. The land will be allocated to create facilities for car parking on 30 acres and bus parking on 10 acres. The remaining 35 acres will be allocated for a bus depot, bus stand, police, fire service, commercial complex and a food court.

The flower garden will be spread over 25 acres near the temple and a kalyana mandapam (marriage Hall) on 50 acres. In addition, a treatment plant will be set up for garbage disposal. The Chief Minister directed the officials to install appropriate software to facilitate easy darshan of the lord and access to various types of sevas during fixed times.

KCR also came out with plans to provide sufficient accommodation, which would comprise 100 AC rooms, 100 non-AC rooms as well as three dormitories. Pointing out that many donors were coming forward for construction of cottages, he suggested that these be named after the donors and managed by the Yadadri Temple Development Authority (YTDA). Special Secretary to Chief Minister K Bhupal Reddy has been entrusted the task of coordinating with all departments for early completion of the works.
