A thief broke into Kiran Wine Shop located at Kashibugga area in Warangal city during the wee hours of Wednesday. It was said that there was an amount of nearly Rs 1 lakh in the cash counter of the shop.
But the thieves left Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes untouched and made good their escape with low-value currency notes amounting to Rs 35,000.
Shop owner Krishnamurthy was both amazed and sad at the theft as the thief left invalid currency and took away the notes that are much in demand.
