Tax payment with old notes till Nov 24
Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma on Wednesday has asked the people to pay their dues to the government with demonetised Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes till November 24. Those paying their commercial taxes, registration fee, water dues, and power bills can utilise this opportunity.
Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma on Wednesday has asked the people to pay their dues to the government with demonetised Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes till November 24. Those paying their commercial taxes, registration fee, water dues, and power bills can utilise this opportunity.
The Chief Secretary said officials concerned were all given instructions to accept the demonetised notes. Rajeev Sharma also stated that all the district Collectors were asked to ensure the implementation of this exemption forthwith and create awareness among the general public.
Change a rarity
Andole: Town residents faced a tough time on Wednesday in securing change for the currency notes given to them by banks in place of the demonetised Rs.500 and Rs.1000. They were seen moving around banks. Huge crowds, including women, waited at the banks for several hours.
BSNL to accept old notes
Hyderabad: For receiving payment of current/arrears of outstanding telephone bills, BSNL will accept demonetised Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes till November 24- the customers are requested to utilise this opportunity for payment of the outstanding bills and avail reconnection of their phones.
