KCR plans to encourage deliveries at Government hospitals
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday addressed the subject of encouraging deliveries at Government hospitals. Announcing that the state government will sanction Rs 13,000 to a girl child and Rs 12,000 to a boy child, KCR said that the amount would be handed over in three installments.

The Chief Minister made this announcement in a meeting with Anganwadi Workers where he expressed concern regarding the cesarean deliveries which are encouraged in private hospitals.
He further elaborated saying that the mother would be handed over Rs 4,000 before the delivery, after the delivery Rs 4,000 and during the immunisation of the baby Rs 5,000 would be given irrespective of whether the child is a girl or a boy.
