82 kgs of ganja seized, four held

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Sunday seized 82 kgs of ganja worth Rs 5 lakh and apprehended four persons at Kacheguda Railway Station. According to the Railway Police, the ganja was being transported to Gujarat from Odisha in 41 bags of 2 kg each.

The accused were identified as Saroj Malik, 32, Sushanth, 24, Dhansho, 22, D Dakodas, 30. It is believed that for some time they have been indulged in the crime, by successfully transporting huge quantities of ganja via Hyderabad. A team of RPF which was on its regular checking on Sunday grew suspicious, when the four persons were travelling with huge luggage. Later, they handed over them to Excise officials for further interrogation.
