Siddipet: Siddipet Government Degree College authorities have urged the old undergraduate and post-graduate students of the College to participate in the meetings of National Assessment & Accreditation Council ( NAAC) Evaluation Committee during its visit to the institution on August 30 and 31, so that maximum marks could be obtained for outstanding contribution of the institution’s alumni for the society, as well as for the development of the institution.

The institution which had achieved NAAC accreditation in 2005 and 2011, currently maintaining Grade A in accreditation, is looking towards achieving ‘O’ (outstanding) status in the present third cycle of reaccreditation process.

Speaking to media in the town on Friday, Principal A Srinivas Reddy has appealed to professors, teachers. people’s representatives, scientists, bureaucrats, poets, writers, singers and people from all walks-of-life who have graduated from the institution to participate in the alumni meeting at 3 pm on August 15, which would be presided by Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao.

This alumni meeting is a preparatory meeting before the actual NAAC evaluation committee’s interaction with them scheduled between 5.30 pm and 6 pm on August 30.

“The role of the alumni, their current professional positions, their contribution to society and the institution would play a major part in receiving (Outstanding) status which we aim to achieve. Therefore, we invite all alumni to participate in the preparatory meeting on August 15,” he said.
