National Integration Camp (NIC) conducted by NCC Group, Secunderabad under the aegis of NCC Directorate (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) at a private college in Hyderabad concluded on Friday.
Hyderabad: National Integration Camp (NIC) conducted by NCC Group, Secunderabad under the aegis of NCC Directorate (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) at a private college in Hyderabad concluded on Friday.
The camp started on August 1, with an aim of fostering spirit of National Integration and solidarity among the cadets of NCC cutting across cultural, religious, geographical, environmental and linguistic challenges.
The camp saw the participation of 650 cadets from all 17 Directorates of NCC from across the country. The participating cadets gained valuable experience byinteracting, cooperating and working in harmony with fellow cadets from sister directorates.
The cadets were able tointeract with distinguished speakers who spoke on various topics relating to youth and development. The cadets were witness to a series of demonstrations by Rapid Action Force (RAF), local fire brigade, snake show, magic show, military band display, weapon and equipment display organised by the Army.
Besides, number of competitions were conducted including NIAP, cultural programmes, debates and quiz to imbibe competitive spirit among the cadets. Cadets were given an educational tour to various heritage places and historical monumentsofHyderabad as part of the curriculum of camp.
Air Commodore P Maheshwar, Deputy Director General (AP&T), who graced the camp on August 11, addressed the cadets during closing ceremony of the camp. In his address, Deputy DG congratulated cadets on successful completion of NIC camp and called upon each cadet to develop qualities of leadership, co-operation, camaraderie and team spirit with missionary zeal. He also complimented all ranks of NCC Group Secunderabad on successfully completing the camp.
