96 per cent land acquisition for Kaleshwaram achieved: Harish Rao

Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao has informed that almost 96% of land needed to construct the Kaleshwaram project has been acquired.

Addressing the official celebrations of Independence Day at Siddipet on Tuesday, Harish Rao said that the State Government has hastened the process of land acquisition for various projects. He said almost 99% land acquisition has been completed for a reservoir in Anantagiri of Siddipet, 90% for Ranga Naik Sagar reservoir, 80% for Mallanna Sagar and 85% acquisition has been achieved for construction of Konda Pochama Sagar.

Harish Rao promised to bring Godavari water to Siddipet by completing Kaleshwaram project works in the next one year.
