Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) would soon launch a bus yatra across Telangana. TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy called upon the party workers to stay among the people to understand their problems and strive to resolve them.
Exuding confidence that the Congress would come to power in the state in the 2019 elections, Uttam said KCR had won the 2014 elections by making false promises. He said the Congress this time would win not less than 90 seats out of 119.
Addressing the day-long training camp of TPCC workers in Shamshabad, the TPCC president listed out various failures of the TRS government and said all sections of society were unhappy with the performance of KCR and his team. He alleged that KCR and his family members were involved in several irregularities and corruption.
Uttam asked the Congress workers to track down the corruption by TRS leaders and expose them using various social media platforms. He also announced the launch of a unique app called 'Shakti' which would directly connect all the Congress workers with him and the TPCC leadership.
The TPCC president said the party would soon launch its own newspaper and a news channel. He said the party was not getting deserved coverage in the mainstream media. He said a few media organisations have been working under the direct influence of the Chief Minister and his partymen.
Therefore, he said, the Congress has decided to launch its own news channel and newspaper. He advised the party workers to strengthen their presence in the social media platforms and make effective use of them.
