Medak: Passengers travelling from Hyderabad to Medak in a TSRTC bus had a narrow escape on Friday afternoon, as the bus driver managed to stop the bus despite having a seizure while driving. All passengers are safe.

This happened when Narayana (35), was ferrying passengers from Hyderabad to Medak. When the bus reached Masaipeta village, he had a seizure. He immediately hit the brake and the bus stopped. As he went unconscious, the bus slowly went backwards and its tires got stuck in a roadside drain, bringing it to a halt.

Another RTC bus driver who was behind the bus stopped and called the 108 service. He also informed the bus controllers and higherups. Narayana was taken to the Government Hospital in Toopran, where he informed the doctor that he had a fit of seizure three years ago, after which he started taking medication. He also told the doctor that he had discontinued taking medication.
