Jana condemns TRS Govt's attitude towards farmers

Hyderabad: Telangana Congress Legislature Party leader K. Jana Reddy on Friday strongly condemned the attitude of TRS Government towards farmers.

Speaking to media persons at Assembly media point, Jana Reddy said that the TRS Government was neither willing to debate on farmers' issue in Assembly nor it was allowing any discussion outside the House. He compared the rule of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao with that of Hitler and said the real aim of formation of Telangana was not yet realised. He said farmers were in distress and thousands of them have committed suicide during the last three-and-a-half years. He said instead of helping the farmers, KCR was making misleading promises with them.

Jana Reddy also condemned the arrest of Congress leaders and activists in view of 'Chalo Assembly' rally today. Commenting on his own arrest, Jana Reddy said the number of times he was arrested throughout his political career was quite less than the number he was arrested under TRS regime.

Leader of Opposition in Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, TPCC President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, MLAs Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Dr. J. Geetha Reddy, D.K. Aruna and other leaders were also present.
