Later, the Statistical Year Book 2017 and CD was released jointly by the Chief Minister and Niti Aayog VC.
The Statistical Year Book 2017 is an important annual publication that provides a wide range of statistical information emerged from the latest surveys, censuses and administrative records of government departments and agencies, at one place with the statistics broadly encompassing demographic, socio-economic, production, and macro-economic sectors.
The present Publication "Statistical Year Book, 2017" is fourth in its series after formation of the state, and is a comprehensive summary of Statistics on the Social and Economic situation of the Telangana State as well as comparison with that of all other states and All India as well. This publication is designed to serve as a ready reckoner to guide to other Statistical Publications and Statistical reference and every one's one-stop source for Statistical information pertaining to various aspects of the state.
This publication is carved out with the summary of information obtained from about 85 departments and organized in 28 chapters with about 350 tables. It furnishes comprehensive information covering all sectors of the economy and is a widely referred and used publication by both planners and researchers. In order to make this publication more useful for researchers and other users, time series data is also made available, wherever feasible, apart from the current year data.
