Lab technicians arrested over charges of sexual harassment at Hyderabad hospital

Four lab technicians of Gandhi Hospital were arrested on Saturday on charges of sexually harassing woman trainee technicians at the lab.

The victims alleged that the accused had been harassing them at the workplace by touching them and stalking them.

The accused, Mohd Akram, Thambi Anthony Sebastian, Jannu Madhu Babu, and Mandalam Durga even threatened to fail the women trainees in practical examination if they did not comply.

Despite several warnings, the accused failed to men their ways. Few months back, the victims lodged a complaint with the authorities following which an inquiry committee was constituted to probe into the allegations.

The committee confirmed that the allegations were true in September. The police have now arrested the four following a complaint from the trainees and a case has been registered.
